Fears every student has before studying abroad for a semester
As this spring semester comes to a close more quickly than I had anticipated, I can’t help but think about my next semester when I will be going on an adventure of a lifetime in Florence, Italy! I can’t wait to finally start this experience, but I get a little nervous about it as well. So these are some of the things I’m the most worried about as I leave my Fisher family and travel abroad for four months!
1. FOMO
This stand for “Fear Of Missing Out.” Yes, even when you’re in a foreign country and having the time of your life, you still fear that your friends will have fun without you. In a perfect world, they would stay in on the weekends and just wait for my next Insta pic of the French Riviera.

2. What if I’m homesick?
I can’t help but wonder what it’s going to be like to not see my parents for four months, let alone my cat!

3. Will Liam Neesan save me if I get taken?
Like seriously, my dad is not like the dad in Taken. They will find me, and they will kill me.

4. How am I supposed to fit 4 months of clothes in one suitcase?
Just my shoes are going to take up one suitcase…..SOS!

5. How will I not gain 100 pounds?
I plan on eating pizza, pasta, wine, and more wine.

6. I hope my boyfriend/girlfriend doesn’t forget I exist.
I better have multiple texts and snaps every time I get WIFI. I didn’t leave you those “Open When” cards so you can forget about our skype dates!!
