5 Things To Do While Home On Spring Break

Spring semester starts and on the first day of classes we cross off the week in our calendars for one of the best breaks in college, SPRING BREAK! It’s halfway through the semester and warm weather is on the way. Although if you live in Rochester, March is still winter so spring break is the time we all go south for a week. If you’re like me and can’t afford a trip, and you’re stuck in the snowy cold tundra here are five things you can do on your spring break.

1. Sleep

Spring break is a time to catch up on the sleep you lost from staying up late studying for those midterms and staying out too late on the weekends. Take the week to relax and distress yourself. After all, in six weeks when finals come you’re going to wish you can sleep in.

2. Catch up on your Netflix shows

As the semester got progressively busier from the workload you probably didn’t have the time to watch your shows. Therefore spend the break on the couch and be a bum watching shows on Netflix. We all konw it’s going to be downhill from here.

3. Road trip

Fishers’ spring break is much earlier than other colleges so all your friends aren’t home. So instead of being home bored, take this opportunity to go visit them. Go get in your car and party it up on a bigger campus.

4. Catch up on HW

If you are like me, you might have procrastinated assigned readings and have been assigned homework due over break. I know it’s not fun doing homework while on break, but there’s only so many TV shows you can watch. So take the extra time you have from not going to class and do some work. You’ll be thankful next week.

5.Quality time with the Fam

Yes during spring break all we want to be doing is having sun with our friends and not worry about a thing. Since you didn’t go anywhere this time and all your friends aren’t home, take this chance to spend time with you parents and siblings (if they are home too). Have a wine night with your mom, play outside with your younger siblings or go out with older ones. Whatever you do just spend it with those that have helped you get to where you are today.
