Cardinals’ Week Plans with Turkey
It’s almost Thanksgiving break and we’re all ready to go home and enjoy all of Paige’s “Friendsgiving” ideas. Unfortunately, we all know that as soon as we come back to Fisher, our nights will be concealed in the walls of the library cramming for finals week and regretting all the time we’ve spent watching Netflix throughout the semester. While you’re home for Thanksgiving take some time to try these de-stressing activities to prepare you for your return to Fisher.
1. Go out with a group of your hometown friends.
The company of the people who haven’t seen you since Christmas will make your Thanksgiving Eve the perfect drinking day of the year. Although a night out might make you a bit tired the next day, your family will be impressed by what you’ve learned outside the books this semester.
2. SLEEP!
Take this time to sleep in your own bed and try to get at least eight hours. Turn off your alarms for class and allow yourself to rest up. When you do get up try to do most of your work in the afternoon. We all have those final papers to cram in so don’t wait till Sunday night. No one should head into finals week running on low energy.
3. Thanksgiving food = Comfort food
Everyone feels better when their stomach is full of their favorite foods fresh out of mom and dad’s kitchen. Make sure to enjoy the break from Lackmann, and the bowel movements that follow. Splurge on the extra piece of grandma’s pie and finish what is on your sibling’s plates. They always say the stomach is the way to the heart and perhaps this holiday it will be the way to relaxation as well.
