Friendsgiving

Once November hits all I can think about and focus on is getting to Thanksgiving for a food induced coma and a break from school. Thanksgiving is all about celebrating the family and friends around you and you guessed it, GIVE THANKS! This year host a Friendsgiving to show your thanks for all the people in your life and enjoy getting everyone together to watch a movie or eat and drink the night away.

Three must-haves for your Friendsgiving:

1. Sweet Treats

It’s the season for everything pumpkin flavored and Thanksgiving is the grand finale. This is an awesome dorm approved pumpkin pie dip that can be served with apples, vanilla wafers or graham crackers.

Ingredients

  • 16oz of Cool Whip

  • 15oz of 100% Pumpkin Puree

  • 5oz Box of Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix

  • ½ tbsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • ½ tbsp Cinnamon

Simply mix all of the ingredients together until it’s well blended and chill for 2-3 hours.

2. Fall Punch

This is one of my favorite apple pie inspired cocktails. (As you can tell dessert is my favorite part of Thanksgiving.)

Ingredients

  • 1 Apple chopped

  • 1 quart of Apple Cider

  • 2 cups of Pear Nectar

  • 24oz Ginger Ale

  • Add Pearl Apple Pie Vodka suggested 1.5oz per serving (optional)

With or without the vodka, this is a great cocktail and can be served either warm or cold!

3. Que the Music

For any successful Friendsgiving, always make sure the music is on point. Make a playlist on Spotify or search 8tracks for the perfect fall playlist.

Regardless, having your friends surrounding you will always make for an amazing Friendsgiving so celebrate and be thankful!

Cheers!
